Cpl Garrett Carnes

On February 19, 2012, Cpl Garrett Carnes lost both of his legs in an IED explosion in Afghanistan during his second tour. Everyone who meets him is surprised at how well he is doing and how fast is body is healing. He is an amazing man and has overcome more than anyone of us could ever imagine.  He was awarded his Purple Heart by President Obama, was given a police escort and tour of the Pentagon, visited Arlington National Cemetery, and most recently was given a heroes welcome and escort becoming an honorary member of the Patriot Guard traveling from Maryland to his home town in North Carolina.

He has already begun rehab and started to walk assisted. He has made a remarkable recovery but still has a long road ahead.  Please keep praying for he and his family as he hopes to make it back to his unit’s homecoming next month.
